So the Muslims want to offend the United States of America by building a 13 story mosque almost in the footprint of the WTC and then open it on 9/11/11, the 10th anniversary of the tragedy. Well I have a few suggestions for the citizens of New York and Mayor Bloomberg (I hope you’re listening)
1) Build a Muslim museum right next door to their mosque that depicts all of the bombings, murders, beheadings and stonings that Muslims and the nation of Islam have brought upon human beings in their history.
2) Open a Cartoonist School next door that specializes in caricatures of Prophet Mohammed and Allah.
3) Open an BBQ Restaurant next door that specializes in nothing but pork products.
4) Open another Muslim museum that would depict all of the positive, life affirming, peaceful actions that Muslims have brought upon the world. Only problem is this museum would be empty.
If we built one or all of these it would create jobs. But more importantly it might make them think twice before they defiled sacred ground.

Before I start ranting, let me identify myself. My name is Karl Engstrom II and I’m a Reagan-era thinking conservative. When I was a young dope (after voting for him) I though he was a nut. Years later I see the wisdom in his thinking.
Folks, it seems as though we under siege. I believe our constitution is being picked apart and shot full of holes by our elected (blame our/your selves) and if we don’t act we begin the fall of our prestige in the world.
The Slaughter Rule to pass healthcare bill without voting on such a HUGE (e.g. MULTI-TRILLION DOLLAR BILL/LAW) is unconstitutional and should and will be blocked in federal court. I am appalled at the Obama administration’s bold & blatant attempts at re-writing the constitution of our country.
Obama screamed about Bush 2 having ‘THE MOST SECRETIVE ADMINISTRATION IN HISTORY’ having over 43,000 denials regarding the Freedom  of Information Act during 2008. Ironically, during Barack Obama’s first year in office there were over 71, 000 denials regarding the Freedom  of Information Act. Didn’t Barry (Barack) Obama (The Anointed One) PROMISE transparent government proceedings??
My friends, I think it’s time for another ‘Tea Party’ and I’m not talking about the cute little gatherings we’ve seen. I’m talking about REALÂ ACTIVISM.
First off, starting a 3rd party in the current political climate will do nothing but splinter anything that may resemble a conservative idea. Taking over the latests conservative party (Republican) would make the most sense.
Why do I feel the Democrat party is currently the wrong way to go? Well I’ll go on about ‘Roosevelt Democrats’ in a later post. Now if the current group were going for JFK democrat politics they would seem conservative. Yada, yada, we’ll get into that later.
For now let’s just say that I’m 180 degree opposed to what is going on in Washington & if something doesn’t start sounding at least partially logical I say we fire them all & start over.

Fair and Balanced my ass!
How can you be fair and balanced at the same time? Fair would give the card to the leading contender. Balanced would make equal time for each side. Now, I favor Fox News for info but they shouldn’t use “Fair and Balanced” for a motto. There’s now way to be both.
Personally I’m a Clear Channel listener (Internet) and I enjoy the programming. I have a tendency to agree with most the hosts, either it be KFI640.com in LA or KTRH.com in Houston. I would say that they are ‘fair’ in their broadcasting, as their hosts invite callers of opposing views to cast their say. Balanced, IMHO, would drag the voice of the majority into the muck of the left leaning mire.
It seems to me that the ‘majority’ are the people who make the country run. The Nielsen polls will show the people that are watching TV, but let’s face it, if the folks are watching TV they aren’t doing much else productive. Personally, I get most my info from radio (Internet or air) while I’m working. I don’t watch the tube until I’m ready for the sack. Nielsen probably could care less about me… point here is that the people that are working to keep things moving (e.g.: this country) aren’t vegging in front of the TV adding to the Nielsen ratings.
Let’s face it. If the people are going to get something from the government it’s going to come from the people. The government doesn’t manufacture or sell anything, so the only funds (money) they have to distribute is money they have received from tax payers. This seems to be something that escapes the folks that want big government. The Government doesn’t create a damned thing.
Anyway, back to Fair & Balanced… Let’s just keep it “Fair Reporting… We Report, You Decide”

I had quit writing a while back while I was going through a bunch of personal crap, the old blog/CMS app really wasn’t working for what I wanted anyway. But I’m in a new place, a new frame of mind and have a bunch of new crap to spew 
Late in 2008 I moved from San Clemente, California to the Grand State of Texas, the only state that can leave the union without seceding. This is because (for those of you lacking on US history knowledge) Texas never ceded. Anyone lost here? OK, I’ll clearify. To cede is to “surrender possession of”. Texas didn’t, they weren’t <em>acquired</em> by the Feds, they joined the union by treaty. Texas was also the only state to have been a country unto itself, the Republic of Texas was led by President Samuel Houston starting in 1836. Anyway, I’m glad to be here & away from the beautifully insane, alternate universe state of California.
